3 Dead, Over Two Dozen Injured As Pickup Truck Carrying Wedding Guests Overturns In MP’s Sidhi

Sidhi (Madhya Pradesh): Three people died and over two dozen others were injured when a pickup truck carrying wedding guests overturned in Madhya Pradesh’s Sidhi on Monday.

The accident occurred on Karondiya-Gada Road in Madhya Pradesh’s Sidhi district on Monday.

According to information, the accident took place in the Deolond police station area when the vehicle, returning from a wedding in Karondiya village to Majhouli in Bahera Dol, collided with an oncoming motorcycle.

The impact caused the pickup to lose control and overturn, crushing several people under it.

The wedding party belonged to a Baiga family. According to Deolond Police Station In-Charge D.K. Dahiya, three deaths have been confirmed so far. However, local residents at the scene claimed that the number of casualties could be higher.

Rescue teams, including police and medical staff, rushed to the scene. Ambulances from nearby areas were called to take the injured to the hospital. Treatment is ongoing at Deolond Hospital.

Beohari Block Medical Officer Dr. Amit Prakash confirmed that medical help was sent to the spot without any delay. He also said that the injured were quickly taken to the hospital, and the condition of several of them is being closely watched by the doctors and medical staff.
