In 2023, the 32-year-old woman from Pakistan’s Sindh province entered India illegally via Nepal along with her four children. Seema, married to a Pakistani man, left her husband and home to meet and live with Sachin, whom she met online in 2019 while playing a mobile game.
The couple was arrested for illegal entry, but were released later. They claimed to be married to each other.
With the Indian government’s recent decision requiring Pakistani nationals without ‘valid’ visas to exit the country within two days, speculation about Seema Haider’s exit has made the headlines.
