A government program in the UK called Commonwealth Scholarships is designed for exceptional and gifted overseas students from low- and middle-income Commonwealth nations who would not otherwise be able to afford to study in the UK. These students can pursue a full-time taught master’s degree at a UK university with the assistance of the Commonwealth Scholarships.
Important details:
Courses commencing: September/October 2025
Last date: 16:00 BST (15:00 GMT) on October 15, 2024
By July 2025, all applicants should get mail notifications.
The application process is divided into two paths: the first is for national nominating agencies, and the second is for specific non-governmental organisations and charitable entities.
Scholarship applications can only be submitted through participating nominators; these nominators are unable to convey more applications than a predetermined number for consideration.
The official notification reads, “Each nominator oversees its own selection process and may have additional eligibility criteria. Applicants must check with the nominator for their specific advice and rules for applying, and their own eligibility criteria. Nominators may set their own closing dates for applications. They will nominate candidates to the CSC by December 2024.”.
“The CSC aims to identify talented individuals who have the potential to make change. We are committed to a policy of equal opportunity and non-discrimination and encourage applications from a diverse range of applicants,” added the official statement.
