A tragic incident was caught on camera as a cricketer named Imran Patel collapsed due to arrest on the field during the match at Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar on Thursday. With the match being live-streamed for the viewers, Imran collapsed on the field while leaving the field after the umpires allowed him to do so and later died.
Imran, who came out to bat as an opener, complained of chest and arm pain as a few members from the dugout came in to attend to him. With the umpires permitting him to leave the field, the 35-year-old collapsed to the ground as everyone rushed to him to help him out. Imran was immediately taken to the hospital, but was pronounced dead by the doctors.

“He was in good physical condition” – Naseer Khan
Another cricketer named Naseer Khan, who was part of the match, revealed that the incident shocked him, given Imran was in a good condition. Naseer told the Times of India:
“He didn’t have history of any medical condition. He was in good physical condition. In fact, he was an allrounder who loved the game. We’re all still in shock.”
The 35-year-old is survived by a wife and three daughters, with the youngest one only four months old. Imran is said to be quite renowned in his area, having a real estate business and a juice shop.
