Devendra Fadnavis took oath as the chief minister of Maharashtra on December 5, 2024 at 5.35 pm at Azad Maidan, Mumbai.
In astrology, the Oath Chart plays a very important role, which signifies the way in which the government is likely to function. Individual charts of Devendra Fadnavis available on the social media have varied birth times. Assuming his date of birth being July 22, 1970, the rashi was Kumbha with the Purvabhadrapada nakshatra. The oath was taken on December 5, 2024 which had the nakshatra of Shravana. From the birth nakshatra of Devendra Fadnavis, the Oath nakshatra is the 7th nakshatra which happens to be “Vadha” tara, which means death (not in the literal sense of the term).
The panchanga of December 5, 2024, was Shukla pakasha Panchami, thursday, Dhruva yoga and Bava karana. All these are good parameters. However, nakshatra of Shravana that falls on the 7th tara, which is not good. It is also said that when the panchanga parameters are not suitable, an auspicious event can be done on Abhijit muhurta or godhuli muhurta.
Though many astrologers say that the oath was taken on a godhuli muhurta, but as per drik panchanga, the godhuli muhurta for Mumbai, began at 5.58 pm and ended at 6.24 pm on December 5, 2024. Keeping this in mind, let us now dwell into the muhurta horoscope as on December 5, 2024 at 5.35 pm at Azad Maidan, Mumbai.
The Ascendant rising is Taurus at 14.14 degrees in Rohini nakshatra ruled by Moon, which is in the 9th house in Capricorn along with Maandi. The 9th house for the Taurus lagna is a badhaka which creates obstacles. The Moon also is aspected by debilitated Mars from the sign Cancer. This means he has to face communal disturbances in the state.
The Ascendant has retrograde Juipiter, which is the lord of 8th and 11th house. The 11th house signifies the income sources for the State. Since, the planet Jupiter is retrograde, the State will face obstacles in terms of finances. The Moon is also conjunct Venus in the 9th house a badhaka sthana. Venus is the lord of the Ascendant as well as the 6th house. The 6th house in mundane astrology for the State signifies the borrowings. As stated earlier, Venus is aspected by debilitated Mars. Venus signifies the “females”. So, there will be issues with rising demands of the well-known scheme “Laadki Bahin Yojana”.
The 10th house signifies the the efficiency of the governance. The 7th house signifies, the partners in the ruling coalition, which comprises of BJP, Shiva Sena (Shinde) and NCP (Ajit Pawar) factions. The lord of the 7th house is Mars and it is in the sign Cancer in debilitation. Mars (Shiva Sena (Shinde) and NCP Ajit Pawar) aspects the Saturn in the 10th house (Government, i.e. BJP) with the 8th aspect from the 3rd house (signifies negotiation).
This indicates BJP will have tough time handling the allies in allotting the portfolios to the alliance partners. There will always be tussle between the allies and the BJP in running the government in Maharashtra.
Based on the timeline, since Mars is going to transit in sign Cancer/Gemini till June 2025, there will be tussle between the allies on allocation of ministry and also on various other governance issues. However, since the lord of 10th house, Saturn is strong in the sign Aquarius, the longevity of the government is not threatened.
However, changes in the allies cannot be denied during the tenure of the Fadanvis government.
