The showdown between India and Australia in the third Test in Brisbane will be culminated on day five. While draw looks as the most likely result, a win and loss for either sides is not out of the equation. However, the overhead conditions will be in massive focus as it has played a big part in preventing Australia’s win.
According to Accuweather, the cloud cover in the morning will remain only at 97%, while the probability of precipitation is only 25%. However, the probability of rains surges to 90% during the afternoon session, while the cloud cover is 95%.
Everyone is asking about the #AUSvIND weather. Here’s the deal:
Mon and Tues: Frequent but brief passing showers
Wed: Heavier, slower-moving showers/storms. So it could rain all day in parts of Brisbane but be clear at The Gabba (or the other way round) https://t.co/0L2w2sYiGz pic.twitter.com/UxwNjFWavr

However, the probability of precipitation comes down to 18% in the evening and the cloud cover is 89%.
Australia fail to enforce follow-on on day four in Brisbane
Meanwhile, the hosts could not separate the final pair on day four despite having them at 213/9 at one stage. Akash Deep and Jasprit Bumrah toughened it out for an unbroken 39-run stand to take India to a total of 246 and avoid the follow-on at the Gabba.
While India still trail by Australia’s first innings score of 445 by 193 runs, they have successfully ensured that the opposition will bat again. Australia being a bowler down, with Josh Hazlewood going off the field after sending down only one over put pressure on Starc and Pat Cummins. Hazlewood’s series also looks done as the hosts will likely play Scott Boland in the final two Tests.
With rains predicted for day 5 as well in Brisbane, Australia face an uphill challenge to force victory.
