Bhopal Municipal Corporation Updates Tender Info On Website After Two Months

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): After almost two months, Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) authorities finally updated tenders on its website.

This comes after opposition leaders in BMC raised the issue before the authorities, who were so far clueless of the lapse, to take required action On Friday, Leader of Opposition in BMC, Shabista Zaki checked the website and pointed out the lapse prompting the authorities to update the tenders on its website.

The last published tender on the website was a notice received on December 4, 2024. It was related to the sports cell (Notice No. 337) of the corporation.

On being questioned, BMC’s Public Relations Officer (PRO) Prem Shukla stated, “We regularly forward all tender files to the accounts department, and we will soon fix the problem.”  Zaki expressed her dissatisfaction over the lack of awareness among BMC officials regarding the issue.

“I raised the matter before all concerned authorities, but most of them were either unaware or trying to avoid the issue,” she told Free Press.  Interestingly, the website was fully functional, yet tenders had not been updated.

Upon being informed, Mayor Malti Rai admitted she was unaware of the issue but assured that she would personally look into the matter and instruct officials to resolve it.

Following this, within a few hours, the website was finally updated after the two-month delay.
