Bollywood actor Prateik Babbar tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend, actress Priya Banerjee, in Mumbai on the occasion of Valentine’s Day on Friday. The two got married in an intimate ceremony at Prateik’s Bandra residence, and were all smiles as they made their first appearance in front of the paparazzi as newlyweds.
Prateik and Priya stepped out hand-in-hand as they greeted the paps, and were all smiles as the shutterbugs congratulated them and clicked their photos. While the Chhichhore actor looked handsome in an ivory open sherwani with a matching shirt and custom dhotis, the Rana Naidu actress complemented him in an ivory and gold lehenga.
The two passionately locked lips as the paps clicked them and Prateik even went ahead and lifted Priya in his arms, evoking cheers from the media.
They thanked the paps for their wishes and were also seen distributing boxes of sweets as a gesture of gratitude.
Announcing their union on Friday evening, Priya took to her Instagram handle to share some intimate moments from the wedding, and wrote, “I’ll marry you in every lifetime (sic).”
In one of the photos, Prateik was seen getting emotional as he hugged Priya.
For those unversed, Prateik was earlier married to Sanya Sagar. However, after four years of marriage, they decided to split in 2023.
Recalling the moment he fell in love with Priya, Prateik had earlier said in an interview, “I was separated, going through divorce and Priya had broken off her engagement. It was then, when I slipped into her DMs in 2020. When we kissed first, it was game over. I knew it (she is the one). I was hesitant initially due to my divorce and how complicated it was. But she is my home. I am more obsessed with her.”
