Amid the month of Ramadan, a local Islamist leader and three others, including children, were injured after a blast rocked a mosque in Pakistan’s Waziristan region during Friday prayers, according to reports. The explosion took place at the Abdul Aziz Mosque in South Waziristan
According to Pakistani Officials, the explosion targeted Abdullah Nadeem, a local leader of the Jamiat Ulema Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) political party in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in the northwestern part of Pakistan.

According to reports, the blast occurred at 1:45 pm (local time) at Maulana Abdul Aziz Mosque on Azam Warsak Bypass Road. Reportedly, the improvised explosive device (IED) was planted inside the mosque’s pulpit.
Nadeem was rushed to a near-by hospital in critical condition. Besides, two children were also among the injured in the blast at the Maulana Abdul Aziz Mosque, according to the police. The police has reached the spot and is collecting evidence.It remains unclear that who was responsible for the blast.
Suicide Blast Kills Six People
Earlier last month, a suicide blast killed six people, including JUI-S leader Maulana Hamidul Haq Haqqani, and injured 15 others at the Darul Uloom Haqqania seminary in Nowshera.
